Frozen Hoth, Freezing Luke, Thawing Han

There were many things that Han disliked, but he usually didn't mention them. Like being on frozen Hoth. What was the point, no one was paying attention, except Chewie. Certainly not Her Worshipfulness. Maybe his friend Luke? An interesting concept for the smuggler to deal with, but not now. As he peered out into the twilight, the ice fields reflecting the base lights, Han knew he must see about the missing desert-born Luke, not used to this climate. Taking a Tauntaun out there could be dangerous, but better for his outside to freeze, rather than his inside, his soul.

The True Spirit of Good Comes From Within

Author: Deidre
Rating: PG
Word Count: 101
Pairing: none
Characters: Luke Skywalker (Beru, Owen, Yoda, and Ben in passing)
Warnings: long after the events of RotJ
Summary: Luke realizes some truths
Disclaimer: Luke, and everything Star Wars, belongs to George Lucas--I'm just mucking about in the sandbox for fun and angst.
Not written for any challenge, however it was inspired by this comment in fialleril 's LJ:
I credit Beru and Owen for all that is good about Luke Skywalker. Ben and Yoda have nothing on them.
http://fialleril.livejournal.com/30037.html

When Luke Skywalker looked back at his early years on Tatooine from a mature perspective, he began at last to see the truth. Ben and Yoda had each in their own fashion trained him, such as it was in the limited time they had, to become a Jedi. But his worth as a person, a man, a human being, was all directly attributed to Beru's kindness and Owen's strong sense of self. Without their good raising of him, he would not have been receptive to the Jedi teachings. He smiled in acknowledgement as he laid the Amaranth flowers on their graves.

'Hands' Challenge. (Han/Leia subtext)
Wordcount: 100

These hands are foreign.

She reads the grin on the man as a sneer, the hands against her skin only claiming what they have won. His rightful prize squirms under his body. He's spent, and she manages an awkward smile, slightly cups the stranger's face --

Half-way across the universe, as far away from Hapes as he can be, Han Solo is on his ninth drink of the night. The sun does not rise anymore.

The princess sits on her balcony. She is staring at someplace far away when Isolder's foreign hands come back to her shoulders to lead her back inside.

Title: Gift
Author: Louise
Summary: set during ANH on the Death Star. That bit when they swing across the gap is one of my faves. Apologies for it not being very good, work has been hell this week and I’m spending most of my time trying to catch up

The Princess gripped his waist tightly as he frantically wrapped the cable around his arm. The hatch door behind them began to glow white as it absorbed trooper blaster fire. He glanced at the opposite hatchway, trying to ignore the yawning chasm beneath them

As he braced himself for the leap into the air. His muscles tensed to spring, when suddenly she leaned up and kissed him quickly on the corner of his mouth.

She grinned sheepishly, uncharacteristically shy, 'for luck' she explained.

Luke drew himself up; he felt braver. Perhaps he could rescue her after all.
